Marble Restoration

damaged marble

Marble is a stone that many people have in their homes but do not know how to treat. Extremely acid sensitive marble can be damaged very easily. But the good news is this is almost never permanent, marble is very soft and reacts well to diamond grinding, and once sealed will reveal a beautiful finished surface.

Etching and acid stains are all too common with marble, the majority of the jobs we attend are due to cleaning companies using products like Viakal or other acidic cleaning products unknowingly damaging the surface of the stone.

Although it looks bad when it happens we know that with proper restoration, cleaning and sealing the stone can be recovered, and the finish is always impressive. Marble can be finished to a very high gloss and really catches the eye. Many clients have had dull marble in their homes for years without knowing the true potential it has.
