Slate Tile Restoration

Slate is an extremely popular choice of Tile coming in many different shapes, sizes and textures, it's extremely hard wearing and easily cleaned when sealed correctly and will last a life time if maintained properly. Many slate tiles we come across would appear to be beyond repair but with a bit of knowledge can be made to look almost brand new. 

A lot of the time oil has been stripped from the stone using incorrect cleaning methods, the tiles will have deep scratches and stains that seem almost impossible to remove, but with the correct machinery, pads, products and sealers the results are always remarkable. 

Once Slate is sealed correctly the stone has a great finish regardless of the colour be it black, grey or mixed. Proper cleaning, restoration and sealing is a must with this type of stone. It's almost a shame not to!
